A full week and I feel like I’ve gone backwards. three bad attempts at brass doorknob bolos. And more work on cleaning my shelf. I have no idea what I’m going to do tomorrow after work. But next weekend I have to start welding lessons from my book

I tried to make a couple doorknob bolo pieces but messed up twice. Started cleaning up a shelf in the foundry and then had some scribble therapy. I guess it’s not nothing but I am also not impressed with my efforts today. Headed to Anton’s Wind ensemble concert and then I have bolos again tonight

So this is the first day in a couple of weeks now that I didn’t play guitar. but I did watch Pirate Radio, great movie, and will definitely be back to practice tomorrow. On the art front I did bolos and bourbon and helped people put together great accessories.

Patina day! I used three different formulas. A green patina solution, some blue cupric nitrate crystals in water and liver of sulfur. And then on one I just brushed them and the next I heated them and then used a toothbrush to stipple spray. we will see what they look like over the next few…
